Popular Post russ c
Howdy all, Just finished my second attempt at building a Green Hornets Huey so thought I`d bother you with some pic`s Built from Hellers 1/48 UH-1N kit Which is the same kit as the Italeri/Esci one, that I used last time, but with a pair of mini-guns included on the sprues As usual, nothing too imaginative, mostly from the box contents....... ......but I did cut out the plastic grilles and add wire mesh to the engine cowlings Also usual paper seat belts. Decals were the kits, which luckily include the Green Hornet for the tail boom which saved me having to paint it on myself ( badly ) like last time Hopefully made a better job of the paintwork this time too Hope you enjoy, thanks for looking Cheers Russ

AlxBNE
Very nice build, well done. How long have you had that kit in your stash? The 1/48 UH-1N kits are really hard to find these days.

Andy Dyck
Hi Russ, Incredibly good and realistic. I didn't know this version flew in Vietnam. Your photos as always so realistic that you think you are standing next to the original. Greetings Andy
Booty003
That is excellent, Russ. Superb, another great result. I do like seeing some of the more unusual stuff that flew over there. A UH-1F would also be a bit different (I have the Italeri 1/72 in the stash). Phil

philp
Looks great. I am planning an F in 72nd scale. I hadn't realized they had N models in Nam.

Phil Thanks Phil, Yeah I`ve thought about an `F`, but a bit of work needed to do one in 48th, angled exhaust and longer tailboom, probably the prop`s different too. Not impossible, maybe one day....
