ErikT
Here's another one I finished a little while ago, just for a quick little uncomplicated build. The weapons are the only aftermarket parts, and I suppose the loadout isn't a very likely one, but I like it. I can't exactly remember the wood I used for the base; palmwood, I think it was, but I'm not certain. As soon as I saw the grain pattern, thought it would look great as a base for a flying model. It gives the impression of speed. Painted with Tamiya acrylics, and weathered with Abteilung oils. Cheers!

TEXANTOMCAT
Very clever use of the woodgrain for display and gives a passive sense of speed - well done!
Pantherhawk27263
Very nicely done, that Skyhawk builds up beautifully. Great work!!!

jean
Hi, very dynamic and beautiful build. For my taste, the weathering is a bit too pronounced, but it is your kit. But as far as I know, the "coffee grain" on top if the fuselage applies to the Argentinian Skyhawks, not the USN ones. Great show. JR
Taylor Durbon
Nice display and cool dynamic look. But you build a A-4B. And that girl has only three hardpoints. The coffee grain mentioned jean above already.

PLC1966
@jeanWhats the 'Coffee Grain'...?
jean
Hi, I may stand to be corrected as to its nickname, bu I am referring to the ovoid structure you glued on the Skyhawk's back, just above the mission tally. I have never seen it on USN Skyhawks. But t is definitely showing on Argentinian Skyhawks. But as I said, it is a great model you built. Taylor Durbon
The coffee grain means the oval shaped antenna on the back of the model. This antenna belongs to the ADF system that was fitted to the argentinean Skyhawks. The only other variant of the Skyhawkfamily that had this antenna are the A-4S from singapure.
