Thanks Roger,

New territory for me yet again.

It's all a bit scary and exciting.

Looking good in its primer, Alistair, the nose cone will be sorted quickly now!

PRU Blue beckons :)

Cheers,

Mark

Thanks Mark,

The nose cone shouldn't cause too much trouble.

I'm hopeful for some colour soon.

Cheers,

Alistair

Looking good Alistair,

I wondered about the nose cone joint and using the primer has highlighted where a little judicious sanding and filler is required. I'm sure it'll be sorted in double quick time and then onto the PRU blue, whoo hoo!

Nice work so far.

Kevin

Thanks Kevin,

I had put some PPP in last night and hoped against hope that it would fix it but it needs just a little more work.

Cheers,

Alistair

Alistair,  this is looking great in Primer and once the nosecone is sorted and some colour goes on should look awesome,  great job fella.

Chris

Thanks Chris,

I did a little work on the nose last night and have just given it a spritz of paint and there's still a wee bit that requires more work.

Lovely work Alistair - you must have an assembly line going with this and the SHAR!

Cheers,

Roger

Thanks Roger,

I try to keep myself to one in build and one in paint to keep me occupied when I'm waiting on glue or paint drying but I appear to have three in paint at the moment.

Doh.....

Cheers,

Alistair

Paint spattered over the fuselage.

Nato Black for the panel lines, Buff and Desert Yellow in the spaces.

Edit: So, I remembered to add the pics. :sorry:

If I get the time I will get some PRU Blue on the underside.

Alistair

A couple of misted coats or Colourcoats PRU Blue later.

Then I lightened some PRU Blue with a couple of drops of Light Mediterranean Blue and shaded the panels.

Followed by a highly thinned coat with the above mix and a few drops of Medium Sea Grey.

And then a final misty coat of the same mix.

I'll see how that looks in daylight and if it's acceptable them I cam mask up for the upper colours.

Thanks for looking,

Alistair

The mottling and preshading looks great Alistair as does the PRU blue too, lovely.

Chris

Thanks Chris,

It's definitely looking better with some colour.

Just enjoyed the read from the beginning.  Turn your back for a week or two and Alistair almost completes a Meteor build...

Thanks very much that's very kind,

Don't stress though work will get in the way of this very shortly.

Looking very nice Alistair.

The subtly of the PRU Blue, with its highlighting of certain panels adds to its realism. Such small changes in hue do make a Big difference.

Nice work, watching with interest.

Kevin

Thanks very much,

Trying things a little differently on this one.

We'll see how it goes.

Alistair

Looking very nice Alistair! I do like the idea of the buff - might have to give it a go,

Cheers,

Roger

Thanks Roger,

It's not a strong enough colour to make life difficult but add a little subtle variation.

Well, I like to think so. Could be fooling myself.

Alistair

I reckon that look pretty darned spiffing! I'm going to have to give this marbling lark a try out :D Camo next, then?

Cheers,

Mark

Thanks Mark,

It's a quick way to get some variation into the paint.

It works for me at the moment.

Just masking up just now for some Dark Sea Grey.
