Mike
What is it about the Colt? I really like them, and am certainly looking forward to seeing these kits. It’s a shame the SOON banner went over the turboprop nose, as that’s a weird looking appendage.
Hub Plott
Hopefully a well done kit. Having built the Valom and the Hobby Boss kits, I doubt I'll go for another.

Homebee
You painted this frog ???? Come on Piotr, I propose you a little test V.P. Edited November 3, 2023 by Homebee
Piotr Mikolajski
3 minutes ago, Homebee said: You painted this frog ? I passed this test many times More seriously: the whole project was prepared by a local artist and a glider pilot from our aeroclub. I was just a simple painter - the lower surface of the upper wing, part of the stabiliser and some details were my work. I didn't touch any of the frogs and no frogs were harmed during the whole repainting process. Why frogs? There were many ideas, but we wanted it to be an animal commonly found in our region. The stork was too obvious, so we chose frogs. It was a very good choice, as was proven during the official presentation. When the An-2 rolled out of the hangar, the same artist caught a small frog and this was filmed by Polish TV.
Homebee
As expected, it's the former Bilek kit with the resin parts replaced by new plastic injected parts. Like the engine. Source: https://www.facebook.com/story.php/?id=100063893506337&story_fbid=774652694674507 Quote "The tool is ours, previously used for injection under BILEK brand. Now, the molds are refurbished and a new 3D designed engine, PE and masks are added." Quote "1/48 An-2’s engine. Fully 3D designed, high technical accuracy" Original Bílek kit included: PE (Eduard), mask and a resin engine. V.P. Silver Seraph
That's a godsend : the original Bilek kit was almost impossible to obtain in the past 5 years and I often read it's more accurate than the Hobby Boss and Valom kits.

On 11/2/2023 at 1:30 PM, Homebee said: A funny thing: The An-2 N° 2, "white 802", labelled as Soviet AF, 60-70 years was in fact the very first East German An-2, transferred in 1953 from the Soviet AF in Germany to the "Volkspolizei-Luft" ( "People's police-Air") - a secret forerunner of the East German Air Force, and used in this scheme as liaison and training a/c till the official creation of the LSK/NVA ( East German AF) in 1956. This explains the non standard tree digit codes and the typical East German font. (The VP-Luft also used a Yak-11 and a La-9, both marked with red stars, the last one only as static airframe to train ground personnel ) Greetings Diego Edited December 7, 2023 by Diego
