Toryu
Well built and very nicely photographed. I'm not a fan of Russian airplanes at the moment but make an exception for this fine model.

Dogtail2
Thanks for the feedback. Quite pleased with this one, considering the trouble I had with Ammo Lucky varnish (Glossy) which came straight off as soon as I applied Micro Set for the decals. Gloss varnish recommendations welcome.

I'm not a fan of Russian airplanes at the moment but make an exception for this fine model. At the risk of being pedantic, this is not a 'Russian' aeroplane, it is a SOVIET aeroplane. It was designed by a Jew, Semyon Lavochkin, and its most successful pilot was Ivan Nikitovich Kozhedub, an ethnic Ukrainian and the Soviet ace of aces with 62 confirmed kills. Learstang
Excellent job on this 'razorback' La-5! I think I may like the highbacked version of the La-5 better than the versions with the cut-down rear fuselage, but I like them all! What paint did you use for the AMT-4 Green? That looks good. Same with the AMT-7 Blue. Best Regards, Jason
rob Lyttle
Must admit I didn't know too much about the La5, until I saw an outstanding, large r/c model featured in rcme mag. Wow, I thought, that's a great looking plane!! So I tracked down a 1.48 model - but I don't think it was this'un by Zvesda. This one looks terrific, well done 👍 1
