Arma Hobby 1/72 Nakajima Ki-84 Hayate 'Frank'

Recommended Posts

Evening all,

My second completion of the year fresh off the bench this evening is Arma Hobby's stunning little Ki-84. Built totally OOB, as there's really no need to add anything as far as I can tell. AK Real Colour and Mr Color used for the main colours and Hinomarus, Tamiya and Alclad for the details, and Hataka Orange Line matt varnish to finish. Really enjoyed this one :)

Nice, neat build.. May I suggest to add antennas? And for my taste, Hinomarus are bit bright. But its your model, so don't listen to old fart.....

P.S. I have already three Hasegawas  in my display case, but I WILL have to make few from Arma.....

That is a very, very lovely build and super-sharp finish. Great work...

As the other chaps have said – mine is jumping up and down on the shelf in the stash demanding to be built.

Now thats a little gem Shaun!.  What do you use for panel lining to get such a uniform result? The product I use doesn't seem to totally fill the engraved lines as well as you have achieved with whatever you use.

I use MiG productions Neutral wash. Just slap it on and wipe away a few hours later :)
