Well having been shockingly rejected with my original suggestion of a Taube Floatplane I do have a couple of other potential candidates.

Wasn’t the W4 just a DIII on floats, if so yes.

Support this Group Build, even if you don't want to participate!  The Great War gets so little love (is that the right way to say it?) in the Group Builds and by model makers in general.  Don't cast your vote for yet another round of the usual types, which are inevitably polling strongly.

 

Vote for something a bit different.  Vote for change.

Maybe it is time for the supporters of this GB and those backing the “biplanes” GB   to pick one to focus on put our efforts (bribery, begging, whatever) on just one?

 

Sorry to say that  think “Biplanes” has a broader potential appeal, and thus have a better chance in catching the leaders in voting…. (I’d still build a WW1 subject.)

I was about to suggest just that. I know there were WW1 scouts which were monoplanes, or triplnes, but there weren't many. It would really be too bad if neither of these got through especially in the face of some pretty hackneyed leaders: where could i possibly put the zinnfigur SE5A and mannock?

Unfortunately we’re not going to make the cut so as pointed out the Biplanes GB would be the best bet, so if you haven’t voted or if you’ve voted for scouts and fighters tine to change your vote to biplanes no triplanes, Morane sir Bristol bullets but  we might still get to build some scouts and fighters 😀

I’m one of the few that voted for them.  I must have odd taste, very little of what I have supported is going through.  Might only be entering four or five GBs next year. 😔

Same as Andwill, voted, but sad to see we are unlikely to make it. I gave a spare vote and so will go for Biplanes. I think anything with rigging puts a lot of people off.
