BigJohn
Hello All I am just starting back into modelling as I got a Revell Tornado GR1,1/72 scale for Christmas as family thought it would help with my mental health. I done modelling as a kid but very badly, glue would come out the tube to fast and when I painted, I would keep touching it to see if it was dry and end up with fingerprints every ware. I have a lot more patients now and I like attention to detail. I went out at the weekend and got some 8 x Revell Aqua paints and contact glue, I also got some fine detail brushes, Tamiya extra thin cement, black wash and Hycote plastic grey primer, so I am nearly there just got to get some side snips and tweezers and I will be able to start. I have some question but will find the right category and put them in there. All the best John

Neddy
Welcome to the forum John, looks like you're (re)starting the hobby with the right tools and ideas! I may be down in the wilds of Kent but my family roots are in south Lincs, Thurlby (near Bourne) to be precise. I know the area pretty well and spent many summer holidays there when I was a mere stripling.
tweeky
Hi John Halfords grey primer is good too. Their "Appliance white" is a good gloss white too.
