Happy New Year to all,

Allow me to share my modelling output for 2022. With a total of 10 completed, 2022 was my highest output for quite a few years. All are in 1/48 with a mix of formats as 2 are resin and the rest injection. No vacforms or scratch bulding last year, which is probably why I managed so many! Most were built for group builds with only the Percival Gull not appearing on here before.

The Lancaster was the most time consuming but an excellent kit from HK Models.

Here are most of the models together. I forgot the small Diorama when I took the main picture.

The Thor missile was a Mach 2 kit in the Bomber/Strike/Ground Attack GB.

 

 

 

In the 'Prototypes, Racers, Research, Record breakers, Special schemes mega GB' I managed 3 in the Research area to add to the 20+ other research models in the cabinet. Lindbergs ancient Convair XFY-1 Pogo, Special Hobby's Skystreak and brand new Simian Stuff's SR-53 in resin.

 

 

For the 'Armoured Cars and Half Track GB' I built the Tamiya '3T Armoured Car' in a day during a quick build event. Started and finished in 8 hours. How hard can it be!

 

 

For the F-15 STGB I built Hasegawa's quite old and very inaccurate F-15E Strike Eagle. The kit is a D model with extra parts based on the protptype E. Quite some work required to build it as a production E from Lakenheath.

 

 

 

For @Enzo the Magnificent's impromptu 'Jubilee GB' I built HRH Princess Elizabeth with her Tilly, in this case the Tamiya kit.

 

 

At IPMS Salisbury our Annual Group Build was an A4 size diorama. The Princess and her Tilly joined a Tamiya Spitfire at dispersal during the Battle of Britain.

 

 

 

Having always hankered for a Tamiya 1/48 Lancaster I finally built the HK Models kit in the 'Big and British' GB.

 

 

Not in a Group build was the Fairey Gannet AEW in resin.

What a great display, love the Convair Pogo 'n' Skystreak, both of which grace [?] my model display. You got a better shade of red on the Skystreak, mine looks too dark by comparison.

 

Who kits the Gannet ? You've done a great job on the paintwork, thought you'd thrown in an original photo ! Just lovely !

 

Pedant Alert......Princess Elizabeth would at that stage of her life be addressed as HRH........

Nice selection Colin, it’s been great to see these in the flesh or should I say plastic and resin 😁.
