Bullbasket
I had no idea which was the correct place to put this, and ended up here. Anyway, my question is, can anyone tell me what percentage I need to reduce a 1/35th scale drawing down to 1/48th scale. TIA. John.
BritJet
The maths is 35/48x100 as the easiest way to get your head around it is to go back to full size (so x35) then divide by the scale you want (48) and multiply by 100 to get it as a percentage. As this works out to 72.9% I would copy/scan the drawing to 72% and 73% to account for the inaccuracies of the original copy as well as the copier/scanner you're using. You can then work out some measurements from full size to 1/48 to find out which new drawing is closest. Hope this helps. Steve
