LNER Brakedown Crane - finished last year

Another long term build that I finally finished last year was a railway hand operated breakdown crane. I started the kit in 2016 having bought the kit from a bring and buy stand at a show in 2015.

It finally got finished last August.

I added scratch built tools, tool boxes, and the bottom boards of the wagons were replaced by items made from coffee stirrers

I had a real boost when a friend sent me a photo of an article in the French Cercle Du Zero magazine (the French equivalent of the Gauge O Guild Gazette) which featured my crane amongst the many other items of interest at last year's Guildex in Stafford.

Sorry for my very late reply.

That looks "AWESOME" !!!!!

What scale is it ?

Hi Timmy,

It's 7mm scale. All the tools and toolboxes are scratch built, the runner wagons as supplied just had flat tops

I love subjects like this. :clap2:

Me too, I also have a Cravens 25 ton Crane kit in my to build pile.

They do prove popular subjects, there were actually five cranes entered into the modelling competition.
