SimonL
I was gifted this for my birthday late last year. A fabulous (mostly) trouble free build. Brush painted with Vallejo Model Air for the main scheme, weathered using various Vallejo Model Washes. Finished with the markings for “The Saint”, which I think is a tank from the 10th Royal Hussars, 1st Armoured Division in North Africa. Build thread can be found here: Now sorely tempted by the Mk III… While I was taking photos in the morning sun, an inquisitive bee came along to inspect my work. And finally one in black and white:

Ah, that will be the Mk.lllB You've done really good job on that Simon. Painting and weathering look great. Nice work. John.

Bertie McBoatface
That monstrous great bee is going terrifying. The tank is gorgeous. Beautiful painting. Did the border models model go together well?
SimonL
Thanks for all the positive comments. @Bertie McBoatface other than the tracks, which were somewhat tricky and needed cleanup , it went together very well. Slightly more complex than a Tamiya kit, but no where near as tricky as a Bronco kit. Very satisfying. The plastic is a little soft, so need to be careful with the cement (it responded pretty well to my usual Tamiya Extra Thin). There is a bit of photoetch, but most of it is pretty easy to handle. Instructions are pretty straightforward, although I did find the build be @diablo rsv to a great help. The decals were first rate. If I were to do the Mark III, I think I would use this as a template to essentially make my own “link and length” tracks, if that makes sense.

I've got a half finished Italeri Mk.I sitting on the shelf of doom, seeing your build has given me the inspiration to get it finished. PF Naughton
Hi, For a quick second there I thought that that was a picture of a full scale Crusader and some sort of mutant giant bee 😬 (ilikely from Australia, since everything from down thereis big, scary and likely capable of killing you 🤯)
