Rob Pulham
Upon moving up to 7mm scale (1:43) from 4mm (00) scale in late 2009 my first loco build came about when I saw a fellow modeller had scratch built 'Severn' in 7mm scale from a drawing published in a 1963 Model Railway News. I asked for a copy of the drawing and had a go at building it. I started in March 2010 and had the construction completed by late August. It then took me until April 2011 to get it painted and I didn't pluck up the courage to line it until 2014 Here she is in bare brass after completion. Then with a coat of fetching blue livery. And finally in 2014 when it was lined out and complete. As a confirmed LNER modeller, she doesn't really fit with anything that I model, but since when has details like that stopped us enjoying our modelling...
keefr22
That is lovely - and more like micro engineering than modelling! The paint and lining looks superb! Really excellent work! Keith
