Yesterday i tried to fix some overspray issues and make the camoscheme a bit less crude.

The downside to that is that the model looks flat due to the loss of the preshading/highlighting. Today i will try to fix that. Stowage looks nice though.

I also noticed i made a mistake on the front hull with the scheme. I think i'm going to file that under "creative freedom" 😁

So today some work on new highlights and shades and i want to start with the tracks. I need to finish painting and placing before the sidepanels can go on. That also gives me the time to work on weathering the weels now that i still have the space. It's a working order i'm not used to.

Also i recieved a nice package today...

The Cruiser A10mk1A from Gecko.

I seem to be in a bit of a brittish mood lately.... i need to be carefull i might end up even liking tea.... 🤣

I find brittish WW2 AFV's just make interesting models because of the shapes, rivets, bolts etc.

However, after the Crusader is finished, i'll defect to the german side. I'm joining @FrancisGLin building my Takom Jagdtiger.

So let's crack on with the Crusader shall we?

I'll keep you guys posted.

Cheers! 👍👍👍

Lovely work. Be interested how the Gecko kit goes together. I have a Bronco one in the stash (Balkans campaign boxing).

Decals on, and a coat of semi gloss primer on the whole model. I assembled the tracks and side skirts. Rest of the weathering will be done on the complete model.

Looking good Maddox ..... 👌

I couldn't see the error on the front ..... it's either not that obvious or my eyes are rubbish!

And the chipping has started.....

Some grime and dirt was added with enamel from AK for desert vehicles.

When the chipping is done i'll add some streaking and rust.

It is starting to look like a battle worn Crusader..... me like 😀

Looking rather grand mate, I suppose you could go pretty heavy with chipping - sand being very abrasive, few dust storms etc would think anything in theatre for a few months would or could have been battered.

Took the words right out of my mouth. Saharan sand, wind and paintwork don't mix very well. I like it so far.

Hi Maddoxx,

It is already taking shape, it looks with some personality and more character, moving away from what looks like a toy... my favorite part of the hobby. You mention that you are going to make a very worn-out vehicle, something difficult, since it tends to overdo it, so it can be implausible... although for the moment, IMHO, I really like what I see.

Cheers and TC

Franics.👍
