Popular Post Seamus
Evening all, My first completion of the year is the superb little Mirage IIIC from Modelsvit. I was initially a little apprehensive starting this one having read it has a limited run feel to it (not my speciality!), but I needn't have worried; with some care and attention the fit is largely superb and the details are incredible, which bodes very well for the Mirage 2000C in the stash! I built this completely OOB as with the excellent decals and included PE and masks, there's no real need for any aftermarket. The attractive desert scheme was achieved using Mr Color paints, with Alclad, Tamiya and Hataka Orange Line for the details Modelsvit 1/72 Dassault Mirage IIIC by Shaun Schofield, on Flickr Modelsvit 1/72 Dassault Mirage IIIC by Shaun Schofield, on Flickr Modelsvit 1/72 Dassault Mirage IIIC by Shaun Schofield, on Flickr Modelsvit 1/72 Dassault Mirage IIIC by Shaun Schofield, on Flickr Modelsvit 1/72 Dassault Mirage IIIC by Shaun Schofield, on Flickr Thanks for looking, comments welcomed Shaun

Hopesdaddy
Very nice work on the Mirage, love the French sand and brown over blue, just looks excellent on a Mirage.

Sky Keg
With this being the first for the new year for you Shaun, I`m certainly looking forward to what lies ahead. Thanks for the review as I have one “in stock” on the shelf. I might have to consider the Mirage 2000 from Modelsvit now. Mike

Lightningboy2000
That's a little stunner! If you liked that, you'll love building the 2000C. A kit that I must have another go at, & I must have one of these. Martin
albymoore
Excellent work on that finish (the whole model, really), Shaun. The camouflage is really done nicely and looks just right (to my eye anyways). Cheers, Albert

eng
Thats absolutely stunning, your paint work is superb. I'd initially picked up a IIIEA to do an Argentinian jet not knowing much about Modelsvit but as you said these are outstanding little kits crammed with detail. As a result I've now a couple of the -2000C's in the stash and I had the -2000-5F arrive last week which has a stunning special scheme and a nice low-vis option too. Pantherhawk27263
Excellent work!!! I'm building the old Revell Mirage III now and mine won't look anywhere near as good as yours. Great job!!!!
drake122
Very nice Mirage III build, but did you forget to glue the gun barrels or did this airframe have the cannons removed?

Seamus
Thanks again all On 1/12/2023 at 6:28 AM, cpoud117 said: Fantastic model! May I ask what did you use for the blue underside? Certainly, it was Mr Color C323 Light Blue. The instructions suggested a C308 which seems too grey to me, but a quick Google threw this up as a better alternative, to my eye at least.
Peter Lloyd
This may be the best Mirage III build I have ever seen. I must ask how you achieved that camo: just a hint of a sprayed edge, and perfectly consistent. Incredible.
