Ray S
Hello all. I am building a resin ship kit, but have found one part is a bit out of true: There is quite a bit of fine detail on the deck surface of this part, so I am wary of clamping too hard for this. Will the best way of straightening it be to clamp the part flat onto a metal sheet (using a bulldog clip on the L/H side and a peg on the R/H), immerse it into some hot (not boiling) water and leave it for a while, remove it then run it under cold water to lock it into the new shape? I also have three 3D printed small steam Coaster ship models which are also bowed so any advice will help with them too. Many thanks for reading this, and any advice will be greatly appreciated. All the best everyone, Ray
