Zoran Srb
Building exclusevly aircraft forever, I decidet to take a break, and started building warships. This is my third attempt. Yamashiro is an unfairly represented ship in the world of model making, only a few completed ones can be seen on the net. Fujimi's Yamashiro '43 is an excellent model, good assembly, good details. The Flyhawk gold edition set is the most comprehensive and complete set on the market with EVERYTHING you can think of to replace/add on a model. There are minor problems with fitting certain things, but nothing insurmountable. After seven months its done. I hope you'll like it. 46

ArnoldAmbrose
Gidday @Zoran Srb, that's a superb model. You've portrayed her as having been worked hard. Very well done. Regards, Jeff.
Alan P
That's a fantastic model. Brilliant details and the dry brushing really makes it look used and tired. You really should build more ships!
Alpha Delta 210
I know very little about WW2 warships, but the detail and weathering on your model looks outstanding to me.
Ngantek
Astonishing work, the quality of the detail work it stands up beautifully even to those notoriously unflattering zoomed in shots. The weathering looks spot on. To my eye, you've achieved that impossible thing of making it look a bit dirty and weathered without affecting the sharpness of the detail, or making the modelling itself look any rougher. I can never comprehend how people can build these big ships over a relatively long time and not have all the little bits of PE knocked about and bent. Again, lovely work. I'm now off to wikipedia to learn about the Yamashiro! Andy
Rich75
I hit the like button but doesn't do it justice, that's an outstanding piece of work, well done the attention to detail is something else but the rigging always catches my eye
robgizlu
Wow - that is excellent - lovely clean detail - excellent finishing and weathering (like your rust) and the rigginig is superb. Rob

Too bad Fujimi doesn't want to make Ise and Hyuga in original configuration, instead of hybrid version... One dare to hope... And thank you all for positive comments, more posts will follow....
Bertie McBoatface
This is an exceptional model and well worth the seven months hard work. I really like this style of finish. What is the rectangular wooden structure hanging from the stern? It looks too heavy for a raft...

If you don't mind me asking, which Adriatic harbor? And by your nick, I would guess that you have Viribus Unitis, or Szent István.... Have you built them yet? If so can we see some pictures? Micha_Pol
Incredible amount of detail here. The rigging, AA guns, ship´s boats, it all looks awesome. Your use of PE is quite astonishing. For my taste that´s far too much weathering, the whole thing looks kind of messy, but that is purely an aesthetic choice, as I know warships can get kind of dirty in wartime. Congratulations!
Jagdtiger1
Beautful work Zoran! I also have this kit and the flyhawk upgrade ready to build, SO many parts! I really like the weathering on the hull. Out of interest, how did you do the weathering on the waterline? It looks a different colour has been sprayed on to give a worn look. James. I really didn't expect so many positive responses. I just hope my eyesight holds long enough (I'm 51), so I can continue to share my experiences with all that are interested. And PLEASE don't be shy, if there anything you'll like to know, just ask. All the best!!!
