Your Vampire I've just seen. Now a Venom. Is there a Vixen to come?

There is indeed. A FAW1 again from the CyberHobby stable.

Obligatory sprue shot, nicely moulded and crisp detailing.  Though a closer look revealed some ejection pins that will need trimmed off to ensure a good fit.

Clear well protected canopy and etch for the wing fences.

Nice transfers for two versions, one Extra Dark Sea Grey over Sky with Suez stripes and a slightly later one of ESDG over white from HMS Albion

And off to a start with some paint on.

I'm just getting links for the images which then open a blank page?

The images are being hosted on Village Photos. Their security certificate expired so your browser is probably blocking the content

I can still  see them normally on Firefox, but on Chrome they initially open to a black page with a little icon in the middle, but if I click on that the pic opens normally, so I guess it depends on your browser.

Didn't try that.  Thanks.  Opens fine if I click the icon

Not much done on this for a while, but the engine started to be assembled and some paint on. The kit is seriously over engineered with far too many ‘gimmicky’ parts. And the instructions fail to tell you to insert the intake vanes.

They’re also quite a few mould ejection pins that needed removed as they were on mating surfaces.

That looks like a lot of parts which are about to be hidden from view once you close the fuselage halves.

Indeed. But you can’t leave many of them out as the engine effectively puts the intakes and exhaust into the right place. Anyway the engine into the upper fuselage. And there’s a mould depression in the exhaust area that I’ve missed!

And I’ve added the transfers to the IP. Was a bit of a fiddle as the instructions don’t show them until you get the painting instructions. I’ve also added the intake vanes which again the instructions omit to tell you about.

The plan is to let everything here dry off and then add the upper and lower parts of the fuselage together, after I fix the mould depression. Then add the seats in with some etch straps afterwards.

Fuselage closed up. Was a bit of a struggle with one side and needed a fair bit of force and tape.

See that lovely engine above it’s gone for good now, along with some other bits and pieces. Some filler has been needed but not much.
