davecov
My build of the Matchbox 1/76 Sd.Kfz 234 Puma Armoured Car (PK-76) I can't believe that I have never built this kit before now. It was built for the BM 2022 Matchbox 50th Anniversary Group Build and you can read about the build here: My build of the Matchbox 1/72 Gloster Gladiator (PK-8) It was built for the Britmodeller Matchbox 50th Anniversary Group Build and you can read about the build here: My build of the Matchbox 1/72 Hawker Fury (PK-1) It was built for the Britmodeller Matchbox 50th Anniversary Group Build and you can read about the build here: My build of the Airfix 1/72 North American P-51B Mustang (02083) Decals came from the spares box and the XtraDecal 617 Squadron set (X72093) and represents Wing Commander Leonard Cheshire's Mustang attached to 617 Squadron. The "Malcolm Hood" transparencies are from Falcon. It was built for the ATF 2021 Airfix Bomber Command Group Build which I led. My build of the Matchbox 1/76 M24 Chaffee (PK-79) Made for the BM 2022 Matchbox 50th Anniversary Group Build and was built OOB except for the addition of brass rod aerials and a figure from the Airfix Station Accessories set. You can read about the build here: My build of the Matchbox 1/700 USS Fletcher (PK-63) Made for the BM 2022 Matchbox 50th Anniversary Group Build and was built OOB and you can read about the build here: My build of the Matchbox 1/700 USS Indianapolis (40165) Made for the BM 2022 Matchbox 50th Anniversary Group Build and was built OOB and you can read about the build here: My build of the Matchbox 1/700 Z-38 Narvik Class (PK-62) This build shows KMS Z-38 in her post-WW2 guise when she was in service with the Royal Navy as a trials ship and renamed as HMS Nonsuch. It was built for the BM Matchbox 50th Anniversary GB and painted with a hairy stick and you can read about the build here: My build of the Matchbox 1/700 USS San Diego (40163) (PK-163) An OOB build. It was built for the BM Matchbox 50th Anniversary GB and you can read about the build here: My build of the Matchbox 1/700 Bismarck (40355) (PK-351) It was built for the BM Matchbox 50th Anniversary GB and portrays Bismarck in the scheme worn in the Baltic April/May prior to her sailing to Norway for Operation Rheinübung. Since taking these photos, I realised that I hadn't painted the tops of the 38cm turrets correctly. I had slavishly followed a set of drawings which turned out to be wrong when comparing them with real photos. I have now painted the turret tops correctly by extending the dark grey down the sloped sides. You can read about the build here: My build of the Matchbox 1/72 Messerschmitt 410 (PK-113) It was built for the Britmodeller Matchbox 50th Anniversary Group Build. I didn't use any paint, filler, plastic card or aftermarket bits so that it could be built as Matchbox intended - at least according to the illustration on the side of the box. You can read about the build here: My build of the Airfix 1/32 Beach Buggy (A02412V) Having already converted an Airfix Beach Buggy to a six-wheeler, I decided to do another but this time with four front wheels like FAB 1 from Thunderbirds. It was built for the 2022 ATF 16th Anniversary Group Build. My build of the Airfix 1/72 Supermarine Spitfire Mk IX (02081) I can't believe that this is only the second time that I have ever made this kit. I built one in the Seventies but this is a 2005 boxing complete with dodgy kit decals that were off-register, that stuck to the backing paper in lots of places and were a trial to get them to stay on! It was built for a Spitfire GB over on the Scale Models Forum. Unfortunately, real-life and a serious case of Modeller's Block after the Spitfire build has kept me from my modelling bench for three months. However, I will be building again in the New Year. AdrianMF
Lovely set of Matchbox builds with the AFVs and ships in there too! The six wheeler had me going “whaaa?” for a moment, and old JEJ looks good with a decent paint job! Hope real life sorts itself out and your modelling mojo returns soon! bigbadbadge
Great work on all, a cracking collection, love the Matchbox biplanes. Hope your mojo returns. Can I ask about your ship display bases, are they ones you've made or are they bought ones, the look great and I've gone and bought my first ship model and will need to get or make something to display it on. Thanks Chris
davecov
@bigbadbadge Chris, the base used in the photos comes from Coastal Kits. They also do lots of other bases for planes, cars, military vehicles etc. Dave

ArnoldAmbrose
Gidday @davecov, you've complete quite an impressive tally for the year, and all well done too. Naturally I'm drawn to the ships but I quite like that Gloster Gladiator. I think it's a nice compact aircraft. Regards, Jeff.
