Goodness me! Specialist recovery required!

Your imagination certainly keeps me coming back for more! Great work - I particularly like the icicles!

Thanks a lot. The inspiration was taken from the picture I have just attached:

How on earth do you get that frozen glass effect on the windscreen?? Looks amazing!

 Two methods you can use;

1. The cheapest, which is to mix salt in warm water with a drop or two of detergent; and pour it into a spray bottle and spray it on. It takes about 10-20 minutes to crystallize.

2. Or, you can buy 'frost' solution by Green Stuff.

The icicles were made by holding clear spruce over a candle and pulling slowly until you achieve the desired length. Then it is just a matter of cutting the ends to the desire lengths. Hope this helps.

Hard to credit that isn't actual ice, frost & snow. here was I thinking that you put it in the deep freeze & photographed it in a hurry when you took it out. ;) :D It looks ever so convincing, made me feel cold to look at it. Well done. 👍

I think we'll wait for the thaw before we recover that one then.

Another excellent little vignette. Do you keep it in the display cabinet or the freezer? :laugh:

HaHa!! Naaa! On top of a display case. :)

Great execution from an awesome photo! Well done. What scale is it? Love to have seen a frozen tricky standing on the truck…

Jeremy

The scale is 1:24. May I ask what you mean by your ladt sentence?

You have no idea…. Have you watched ice-road  truckers on tv?? Without any desire to insult, they are pu…. , compared to crazy Russian drivers…. I had misfortune to ride several times in theirs passenger trucks, called VAHTA… Basically Kamaz truck with separate passenger cab. Each ride “rearranged my DNA” …. That’s one thing I don’t miss from Siberia…
