Skodadriver
After I got over the worst of the mojo meltdown which hit me about eighteen months ago I decided to concentrate on straightforward models until I felt my confidence was fully back. As a result my 2022 output is mainly OOB builds although the modified Airfix Boeing 737 is an exception. The year’s work should have included a Boeing 787 but at a very late stage I managed to confuse plastic cement and decal solvent and the replacement titles which Ray Charles kindly agreed to send me appear to have got caught in the postal strikes. Never mind, it should give me a head start for next year. I hope you enjoy my collection of 1/144 civilians and I’ll see you in 2023. Tim R-T-C
Beautiful airliner selection, the Skyvan is particularly eyecatching because it is so different. How did you find this kit to build?
stevehnz
That looks like a well recovered mojo Dave, a great looking array of Airliners. Steve.
Bertie McBoatface
They are all beautifully done. Airliners aren't my thing to build but I love to see them finished this well.

How did you find this kit to build? Thanks Tim. I'm not a fan of Eastern Express products and I only bought the Skyvan because it was second hand for a fiver at the Perth show. The build was straightforward enough but in typical EE fashion there was a plethora of tiny parts a few of which I managed to lose. That included one of the elevator horn balances and when I look at the photos I realise my replacements are a bit over scale although they look OK "in the flesh". The wingtips and fins are inaccurate. I did my best to fix the wingtips but left the fins alone because I felt the risk of ruining them was too high. Overall I'd probably give it 6.5 out of 10 and if I do another Skyvan (this is very tempting) I'll likely go with Welsh Models.

keefr22
Those are all beautiful Dave, superbly built, painted and decalled. I was seriously considering selling off the airliner stash next year - now I'm not so sure! Top work all round! Keith

Blackfordhibby
I wouldn't mind losing my mojo for a wee while, if I ended up producing anything as nice as these are.
