Now that the Cuban T-33 is almost finished, ma dad gets ready to start the next Latin subject.

Hoduras used ten former Yugoslav AF Canadair Sabres from 1976 to 1986. Sources differ, some say ten Canadair F4, some eight Canadair and two F-86F.

Gonna use the Airfix kit with Aztec decals. Furthermore a resin seat from PJ Productions, the FAH Sabres have been fitted with a MB 10 seat.

For info, the FAH only received F-86E(M); no F-86Fs despite what you might read. Also for anyone who wants to keep it simple, the Honduran Sabres did operate with the NAA seat, so an aftermarket M-B seat isn't necessary. But it does add something different! :)

as far as I´ve read, it seems they started with the original seat and then fitted an MB seat

here you can see the MB

This looks very interesting Reini, I think I would have chosen the triple grey scheme. I'll follow with interest.

fuselage closed

as it already happened several times, my dad forgot to add noseweight

he could tear apart the nose parts and added 15g

now some additional filling is necessary, also because the area in front of the windscreen was missmolded

Hi Reini, very cool your doing a Honduran CL-14MK4. My father flew them back in 1976 through 1978. Back then he was flying all 3 major types of jets the Honduran airforce had at the time which were the Sabres, A-37's and the Super Mystere. I might have some images that could aid you on you build. Send me an email if possible.

Hi Alex!

Thanks for the offer. Online I only found three FAH Sabre pics in their active time, so some more pics would be useful for sure.

Tried to contact you with the mail adress above but it didn´t work, says it doesn´t exist. Maybe a typo?

Mine is [email protected]

Cheers, Reinhard

Very nice, Reini. Those machines also had a weapons block on the port side in white. It isn’t on the Aztec kit as far as I know.

You remember correctly 😉

Gonna look through our decal stash for a suiting piece.

It should be easy - a white rectangle and just white wording inside ;)

one would suppose.....found lots of black and some red ones but none in white

think will puzzle together a rectangle with white stripes

I'm liking the camo scheme...
