72nders
Hello all, This is my latest build, Tamiya's 72nd spitfire built in USAAF markings, it's an aircraft from the 52nd FG. The model was painted with AK real colors acrylics. Tamiya enamel washes, tamiya weathering powders and a silver pencil were used for weathering. Eduard PE was used for the interior and landing gear doors. Kits world decals ref KW172244 were used. PS: sorry for the pictures, my camera's flash burnt so I am using my phone.

Spitfire31
Beautiful Mk V! The Spit looks like a very different aeroplane in US marking. The aerial wire doesn't belong on a Mk V, though. It had a VHF radioset with a short antenna hidden inside the mast. Also, the mast would've needed the telltale triangular prong near the tip in order to allow for a wire anerial. The attachment point on the rudder was just a relic from the early days of HF radios. Excellent modelling! Kind regards, Joachim
