Alistair,

Lovely crisp paintwork, and nice to see the 1/2 scale bread bin making an appearance. It's clearly fooled  @bigbadbadge Chris into action 🤣,

Cheers,

Roger

I reckon he has got a load of those bread bins in various sizes to keep us/me on our/my toes😄😉

Now, would I be so twisted and evil as to get my jollies by making someone question their own sanity. :wicked::whistle:

A lot of time today was spent masking, spraying and unmasking for what seems like very little progress.

I still need to touch up the pitot but after that I think it'll be ready for a clear coat and stickers.

Thanks for looking,

Alistair

Good progress I'd say (better than I did 🙄).

Looking forward to stickers!

Cheers,

It was all little finicky stuff today that had to be done in separate stages as I was having to mask over other bits to make sure I didn't fire paint in all the wrong places.:D

There should be stickers soon but back on an early tomorrow so it will be later in the week.

Cheers,

Alistair

This build is coming along really nicely Alistair.

Glad the head bump didn't lead to any long term problems, doesn't seem to have affected your masking abilities.

Thanks very much.

The bump was caused by my own stupidity and is well in the past now.

I've had enough concussions in the past to know what to watch out for.

The masking is helped massively by my Infini cutting board which allows me to cut very thin strips of tape with a good edge to them.

In a side note you've put Suzanne Vega in my head playing "Gypsy"

One of my favourite songs.

"Yes now I've met me another spinner
Of strange and gauzy threads
With a long and slender body
And a bump upon the head"

Cheers,

Alistair

She's on her feet and they're all level.

Now it's a bit more stable I'll be able to get the aerials that require painting done and after a clear coat I can get a start on some stickers.

Thanks for looking,

Alistair

Looking good Alistair,  I imagine getting the undercarriage level is a major part of Harrier builds. The paint looks lovely and smooth, no problem adding the transfers on a surface as clean that.

Great to see it on it's undercarriage Alistair and glad it is level too.  Not too far off now.

Looking good.

Chris

Thanks Chris,

Not too far away.

Stickers, pylons and stuff and a light weather should see it done.

Thanks Richie,

There was a bit of tweaking trimming small pieces off the main wheel fitting but it kind of went to plan.

I found it easier to make the ground bumpy...

And there's a solution I hadn't thought of. Simple but effective. :D

Good to see you made a start on the decals Alistair, even after all those stencils onbthe Phantom , you'll be dreaming about decals now !!!

Chris

I was in two minds whether to go for it tonight but there were only 10 to put on so went for it.

I'm just hoping they don't invade my dreams or would that be a nightmare.

Alistair

That's 10 main ones. I still have the stencils to do in the near future.

I doubt it will be tomorrow as I want to try and get the Phantom ones finished and i don't think I'll want to go with more.

Cheers,

Alistair
