Did you put the Meteor update here Alistair,  you must be tired, it's the kip on night shifts😉

Shar wings looking good.

Chris

Thanks Chris,

Yes, that is exactly what happened.

I'm putting it down to fatigue. That may get worse as I'm on another 3 nights from tomorrow.

It's my own fault as we're scrambling to cover vacancies but the silver lining is that there will be additional modelling tokens for the Scottish Nationals in Perth at the end of April.

Cheers,

Alistair

Looking good… but I missed the Meteor!

Very glad you’re feeling better.

Best wishes,

Thanks very much.

I've been a bit all over the place today but it's just tiredness.

Nothing a nights sleep won't solve.

Cheers,

Alistair

Alistair,

Glad to hear that the headache has receded. That Barley Grey is looking rather nice!

Thanks Roger,

I won't manage to get any more done on her today because stuff and things.

I'm itching to get it masked up and some more paint on though.

Cheers,

Alistair

Looking good Alistair - the polar opposite to the weather here at 38C yesterday (see what I did there?!). Cool change coming through later, and not a moment too soon!

Thanks Roger,

Hope the temps get lower without any of your famous brushfires.

Another coat of Medium Sea Grey and I think that will do it.

I'l get some unmasking done and see how it looks.

If that's good more masking and some Semi-Gloss Black on the nose cone.

Unmasked, remasked and Semi-Gloss Black sprayed, very, very carefully.

Then with all the sponges out.

That'll be it for today.

Some wee bits to touch up like the pitot, aerials and underwing outrigger bits.

While I'm doing that I'll get the undercarriage finished up and fitted as I think it'll be easier to get the decals on if I can stand her up.

Thanks for looking,

Alistair

Very nice, and the pitot and wind thingummy are still there!

A good idea. Hopefully easier than my 1/72 ESCI. Getting all four (five?) feet on the ground was a nightmare.

Excellent progress Alistair.

Thanks very much,

There was some very careful masking with long loops of tape so they didn't touch the brass bits and then another bit of tape over the holes at the front and rear.

I was quite relieved when I took the tape off that there was nothing stuck to it. :D

I plan to get the nose wheel and the outriggers in place and level with the main wheel dry fitted and then adjust it as necessary to get things level.

Sounds simple doesn't it.

I'll bet it won't be.

Thanks so much Chris,

I, for one, would be really interested in seeing what you would do with it.

Seconded!

Thanks guys, it's the 24th scale FRS.1.  The engine is pretty much done and the fuselage and wings have had the rivets removed, so might have to start again, hmmmmm.

Beautiful!

A masterpiece of masking ( and unmasking ) around the nose.

John

Thanks very much John.

The pitot needs a bit of a touch up but it came out better than I hoped for.

Cheers,

Alistair

Alistair,

Lovely crisp paintwork, and nice to see the 1/2 scale bread bin making an appearance. It's clearly fooled  @bigbadbadge Chris into action 🤣,

Cheers,
