Unmasking done and a quick pop on the see how it looks.

Of course as I popped it on I had my "Oh Dear Bob, I've painted it upside down" moment.

A quick look at some photos and it's slightly too high but is the right way round.

Thanks for looking,

A huge shout out and thanks to @corsaircorp for his extremely kind offer of the decals which took the pressure off.

Cheers,

Alistair

Well Alistair , after that catch up I must say that you are doing a great job..

It`s all a learning curve, and soon we are able to "Master" some bits.

Carry on the good work sir.

Simon.

Thanks so much Simon,

Don't know about mastering but I can bluff with the best of them. ;)

After work I fitted the rear view mirror and then glued the canopy on.

After that it was time for some primer just to check things.

I'll need some daylight to check it all but it's looking decent at the moment.

If all is good then I'll get the rest of the PE fitted and then some preshading and mottling.

Thanks for looking,

Cheers,

Alistair

Looks fabulous Alistair,  can't aait to see the paint go on now.

Great work

Chris

Thanks Chris.

Daylight showed a couple of bits that needed sorting on the bottom of the intakes.

They've had a sand,some more paint and I think I've got them.

Roger

Thanks Roger,

I'm kind of looking forward to that myself.

It's taken a while to get to that stage.

Cheers,

These are pretty much the last pieces of PE to go on to the fuselage.

Just realised I've not put the nose pitot in.

I'll pop it in and get a pic up later.

I primed the blast shields, air brake and some of the undercarriage doors.

The undercarriage itself got primed and then was given a splash of Light Admiralty Grey.

Sorry about the last photo it's a bit blurry.

I didn't realise until now as I belted my head off the car door earlier and have a wee concussion.

That photo is kind of how I was seeing things then.

If the pitot settles in without any drama I'll get a photo up later.

Thanks for looking,

Cheers,

Alistair

Crikey Alistair,  hope the old noggin is okay, and hope the concussion has passed.

Shar is looking good.

Chris

Thanks Chris,

The heads OK. Bit of a headache but a night's sleep will clear the concussion.

I should be able to get on with some colour very soon.

Cheers,

Alistair

I've not forgotten this one.

The very shaky panel lining was done on Friday and now that the weather has cleared up a tad I got the Buff mottling liberally flung around today.

If the weather holds up there may be some Barley Grey chucked at it tomorrow.

Thanks for looking,

Crikey,  are you still suffering from the knock on the head Alistair,  hope the effects pass soon.

Nice mottling fella.

Chris

Thanks Chris,

Glad to say I got up today with no headache so it's either done or it could be that the heads were lack of sleep ones as I've been surviving on about 3hrs a day since Saturday.

Nothing desperate just nights.

All's good now though I've got a day off so trying to get some stuff done.

Cheers,

Alistair

Great to see the main paint going in will look great, I'm sure.

Glad to hear the headache has gone.  I remember only getting a few hours sleep on nights and was glad to be able to get another job within our organisation in the end, as the journey home was always a worry,  sometimes I couldn't remember parts of it, scary.

That is a regular and scary bit of it.
