SimonL
Last one for the year, here I present my attempt at a Sherman Mk 1 Hybrid of the East Riding Yeomanry, 33 Armoured Brigade, Holland, October 1944. The base kit is the Asuka kit of the M4 Composite in its “China Clipper” boxing. A number of firsts for me - some stowage (from the rather nice Value Gear resin that came with the kit), an attempt at replicating a muddy look and a go at painting a figure (borrowed from my as yet unbuilt Bronco kit of a Chaffee). Brush painted with Vallejo ModelAir acrylic for main scheme, and a mix of Tamiya and Italeri acrylics for details. Weathering with Vallejo Model Washes and European Mud. Decals from Star Decals, I also used a metal gun barrel from Aber and a tow cable from Eureka XXL, some additional stowage from the spares box. Build thread can be found here; Thanks to those who followed along and provided support and advice. A Merry Christmas to all. 17

Steve27752
A great looking M4, I love the fact that the stowage is actually tied Down.

noelh
A merry Christmas to you too. The photos are almost tropical but of course beautifully sunny days even existed in the forties. It's very realistic and the figure adds to the realism. Brilliant.

Bullbasket
He gets around a bit Simon. Nice work on the Sherman. After watching your WIP, I'm looking forward to having a go at it myself. John.
