Hallo

During getting order in our apartment, my wife found pictures from her father.

This photo is taken in May 1940 in Charleville in France.

No more information.

Maybe it is an idea for a model?

Happy modelling

@dov The Fairey Battle Squadrons of the Advanced Air Striking Force suffered heavy losses during the battle of France so it is not so easy to track down the individual aircraft. However, the Code Letters PM of 103 Squadron are clearly recognizable. I can also identify a C.  I think this is a picture of Fairey Battle I P2193 which crashed after being hit by AAA fire near Bouillan on May 12th 1940. Both the pilot PO Edgar E Morton from New Zealand and the Gunner AC1 Alexander S Ross were tragically killed.  On that day 103 Squadron lost two aircraft and aircrew in this ill-fated attack on a motorized German military column.

Here a link that shows some other pictures of the crash site that are in some respects quite similar to the one you posted:

Just wish there was a good quality kit of the Battle in 72nd scale

If you can be a bit patient there is a new one coming next year: http://www.frrom.com/index.php?page=frrom-fr0046-2

There is also a thread going on in the Rumourmonger section:
