Doh! I realised that I missed a step out - here is what it looked like after two thin coats of paint.

Made good progress today with some wear and tear using Vallejo Model Washes. I also glued on the final “breakable bits” as well as replacing the kit provided radio antenna with some steel guitar string. Not quite finished, still needs some minor chipping and a few coats of dust and the final matt coat.

I’m calling this one finished. I added a couple of coats of Vallejo Model wash Desert Dust, then a matt coat of Tamiya Flat Base mixed with floor polish which gives a nice dusty look as well. It still wasn’t quite dusty enough for me, so I then added a heavily diluted wash of Italeri Acryl Sand. This left a nice patchy look and the level of dustiness I was after, so I’m calling it quits before I overdo things. I’ll take some photos in the sunshine tomorrow for an RFI. A thoroughly enjoyable build. Definitely keen to make the Mk III. Thanks for following along, and I hope everyone’s year got off to a good start.
