Bertie McBoatface Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 "AliGauld's not so productive 2022"? Are you disappointed? 3

No not disappointed just a lot less than I managed last year. Of course, a house move and a complete strip and repaint of the Sunderland didn't help. Cheers, Alistair 2
VolkerR. Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 That Fairey Gannet is outstanding. The others are not bad, either. What a great output! 1

That's a good year! *Possibly not on the Sunderland. 😕 1
JeroenS Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 I was asking myself the same thing... Not productive, are you kidding me? That's some really nice output right there. 1
Dunny Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 Alistair, Although I'm hard-pressed to pick a favourite from this beautiful collection, I'm going to go with the Sunderland as I know well how hard fought the end result was! A great year and best wishes to you and the family, All the best, Roger 1 1

John Laidlaw Posted December 16, 2022 Posted December 16, 2022 Good grief... "not so productive" and yet every one of the many is a cracker! Amazing stuff, and some great song lyrics, too. 1

I like to try and cram a song refence into a title, sometimes it work, sometimes not. Thanks again for your extremely kind comment. Cheers, Alistair 2
Ngantek Posted December 16, 2022 Posted December 16, 2022 It's been a real pleasure following your work Alistair. I'd missed the first two which are both right up my street (the Gannet in particular really catches the eye). So many fantastic models, it's hard to pick any out, but you must be very proud to have had the tenacity to finish the Sunderland. On the flip side, the zero is one where everything seemed to come together perfectly and the finish is astonishing. Hope you manage to get some well deserved rest over the festive season, and best of luck with the new year! Andy 1 1
bigbadbadge Posted December 16, 2022 Posted December 16, 2022 Good grief, not so productive!!! That loads Alistair. Some real beauties there. They are all splendid , I really enjoyed your WIPs. They are all lovely models I particularly like the Avenger and Gannet . Great work all round. Chris 1 1
pacificmustang Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 Wow! They are all excellent builds. Varied subjects too, which I love Bruce 1
stevehnz Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 A good year there Alistair, you've given a lot of pleasure with these builds. Thanks for sharing them with us. Steve. 1

The Sunderland, once I had realised that it was salvageable was sheer bloody-mindedness that I was going to finish it come what may. The Zero is, I think, the kit that I'm most pleased with. I got lucky as everything i tried on the finish just worked first time. Wishing you all the best. 12 hours ago, bigbadbadge said: Good grief, not so productive!!! That loads Alistair. I do love the Gannet as it was FAA for a kick off and another one where stuff just worked. 8 hours ago, pacificmustang said: Wow! They are all excellent builds. mark.au Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 Your work has been a big part of my BM engagement this year Alistair. If that’s a low production year, I look forward to even more engagement in 2023. Your ability to produce hand made quality at production line pace is remarkable. 1 1
opus999 Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 I was able to catch most of these in progress, Alistair, but I missed out on the Sunderland saga (which maybe for the best). I enjoyed following along with the ones I managed to catch in progress and these are all beautiful results. I really appreciate the varied subjects. Beautiful work! 1 1

Thanks Mark that I extremely kind of you. You certainly managed to achieve the hyperbole challenge. GRK Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 Great work all of them but esp like the gannet! 1

The Gannet was a Sword kit that I enjoyed building so much that I didn't want it to end. Then again everything I tried to do on it just worked so that might have coloured my view a tad.
