While a 1/48 Bearcat would tick some boxes I think Airfix may not find it attractive, the 1/24 Wildcat is different as it was used by the Royal Navy but what do I know.....

 

I'm rather more engaged by the talk of a Gannet hopefully in 1/48.

I see Airfix are flaunting a Halifax and Catalina on Facebook today, they are even asking if the Catalina would make a great new tool kit. Probably just more marketing, but might be hints at something we will see next year?

Subjects that size would take some 2-3 years tool from go-ahead to release, so merely asking about a Catalina suggests that it won't be one of next year's releases.

The Halifax is old, maybe worn out too and so a likely subject for replacement.

This topic started with Airfix Facebook of a Bearcat, and now there is video of a B 29. Airfix could have scanned the one at the IWM.
