f matthews
Wanted to knock out a quick build before the end of the year. Started this in November and it assembled easily without any major issues. Initial weathering was done with AK watercolour pencils.
Geo1966
Have always liked the T-34 and you are doing a great job on this one. I brought some of the AK weathering pencils sometime ago, but not really tried them. Will have to give them a go as you have produced a really good effect. Retired Bob
These Dragon T-34 kits are really nice, just a pity they became so expensive to buy. Yours is looking good, what markings will you be applying?

I haven’t found any photos with anything that spoke to me yet.

I started this kit during the T-34 GB, still not added the equipment, tools and stowage. I found these turret markings that were on a tank destroyed during the first days of the Barbarossa special military operation. Tracks are AFV Club.
f matthews
Updated after adding details like MGs, scratch built jack block/holders, headlights and stuff on the fenders. Just need to figure out what I’m doing for a display base then weather the lower hull and add tracks…
Peter Browne
Excellent work indeed. Very authentic weathering - subtle and enhances the model without being distracting. I'm tempted to get this kit...

Peter Browne
@f matthews Did you cut out the molded engine intake grill and replace with brass grill? Or was it OK as is?
Peter Browne
The AK Interactive watercolor pencils get mixed reviews. But you have achieved very realistic effects with them. Would you use them again? Any pointers?

I think they are great if you are looking for subtlety. I found using less water allows the watercolor to be a little “thicker” and it is easier to spread around where you want it. Don’t be afraid of applying a lot of pencil either. If you think you’ve overdone it, it comes off easily. One thing that I found doesn’t work well is spraying a clearcoat (I use Ammo matte) over as most of the effects disappear. f matthews
I did some work on the basic display base and now just need to add grass and fix everything into place.

f matthews
I’m calling this one complete. I’ll shoot better pics when weather is clear and do any last-minute touch ups in the meantime.
