IDF early M50 based on a (late) M4. 1/35th scale.

I finished this a couple of months ago, but Telford got in the way, so now I've finally got round to posting it here. All relevant details about the build can be found here;

Reasonably happy with the finished article, although still not happy with the figures.

Thanks for looking in and any comments/criticisms.

I'd be a lot more than "reasonably" happy with the work here. :goodjob:

That is a very nice piece of work.

It's good composition too. My first thought was that he was looking skyward for enemy aircraft. But then, looking at the expression of the other guy, I reckon he's looking up and thinking OMG, what's he going on about?

Regards,

Pete, who gets that reaction a lot!

Thanks Echen. I think that it's probably the figures which have given me the grief.

Hi John,

Despite all the last-minute setbacks, it has turned out to be a good model, full of details, together with its small base, very well presented. You make the label, or you order it from someone, for a long time I would like to put it on a model, but I would like it to have something of quality... Figures are always a pain in the bottom (for me...lol).

:goodjob:

Cheers and TC

Francis.

Many thanks Francis. I made the label myself and it's very easy. I've got Open Office 4, and I just started a Text Document and typed up what I wanted on the label. Then you can change the background colour to whatever you want. Once I was happy with it, I just printed it an then cut it out and glued it onto a piece of cardboard.

HTH's.

Great work!!! I know how mich time you have put in and it shows! Love the paintwork and i think your figures look good. They really add scale to the model.

Thanks a lot for that Maddox. I really do appreciate it. The next one won't be smothered in a dark wash like this was.

Great job! Plus M50 is my favorite variants of Sherman!

Many thanks Dim. Yes, I have quite a liking for the M50 as well, alongside the M51.

Superb all round work and great to see it finished off. Looks fantastic 👍

Figures look good and really add to the character of the final composition so well worth keeping.

Thanks a lot Stuart. It turned out to be a case of being rescued from the jaws of death, ie; the bin! In the end though, I'm glad that I persevered with it.

Very nice John!

You're braver than me adding figures, those are absolutely fine though and add a bit of life to the model.

Wayne

Thanks Wayne. They were my last two (usable) Hornet heads, so it was Hobson's Choice! I've restocked now though.
