Kawasaki ZZR1400 - The big Black

Recommended Posts

The point of this project was only to practice hiding those ¤#%&@¤ screws that tamiya so much seems to love. Well... it got "a bit" out of hand in the end.

I used slightly more than a hundred aftermarket bolts and nuts, two different PE-sets, scratch-made cable tensioners, brake lines, castle nuts, locking pins etc. Modelmaking is fun in micro scale (not). Still I find myself doing smaller and smaller details every time.

I used about 15 different shades of black and four different shades of lacquer, metals are painted almost solely with alclads and AK extreme metals, rims and other accents are built up with gold and transparent orange and yellow.

And once again, feel free to ask anything if any questions arise.

Very very impressive - you feel the speed! I love the golden wheels.

Same her with my aircraft modelling - smaller and smaller, and less and less visible... 😕
