Meteor F8 615 Squadron colours?

I'd like to finish one of the new Airfix Meteor F-8's in 615 squadron colours as per Xtradecal sheet 72-114.

Could someone confirm if the tailplanes are finished in blue or white? Reason I ask is they tell you to paint the entire tail and tailplanes in white before applying the zigzag blue decals but the drawing shows them in blue.

I’ve just taken a very quick phone snap of the photo in Cold War Shield and pm'd it to you. Bit rushed as we are (were) just going out of the door.

To quote from the 615 Squadron chapter in Cold War Shield. ‘The CO’s F8 WH445/S had the entire tail, fin and rudder painted white with a dark blue zig zag stripe across the upper and lower portions of the fin and Sqn Leaders pennant beneath the cockpit.

 

There is a much better reproduced version of the Cold War Shield photograph in Gloster Meteor in British Service by Martin Derry & Neil Robinson which should answer your question better. I've pm'd it across to you.
