HL-10
Take one 48th scale Lancaster kit, courtesy of Tamiya. Add some photo etch from Eduard, brass gun barrels from Master plus some scratch built details & modifications. Mix in some Xtracolor enamels and, hopefully, you will have an Avro Lancaster from 617 Squadron as used on operation Upkeep Chastise Thanks for looking Angelo 55
RedhillPhil
Very nicely splendid. A question if I may. What are the red/yellow/green lights under the rear half of the under-fuselage for?
georgeusa
Really good representation of a Lanc. Your hard work in converting this kit with all the extras and add-ons paid off. Thanks for sharing.

426
Great build. A small detail but the mine was codenamed Upkeep and the operation was called Chastise.
chrisbob12
I like the matt finish with no silvering on the transfers. Nicely done.
593jones
Very nice built, I like the home-made bomb sight visible in the bomb-aimer's blister, nice touch!

Winenut
That is just fantastic What a beauty! At my build rate of single engine 1/72 fighters I suspect that would have taken me at least four years to finish!!! Congratulations on your crackin' Lanc

Winded Penguin
Lovely Lancaster 👍 It's a beast in 1/48 scale. The colours and weathering look very authentic.

Col Walter E Kurtz
Lovely build of Gibson's aircraft G 'George'. Suberb weathering indeed! Did the canopy come ready painted in this Tamyia kit? Sadly the last surviving aircrew member of Operation Chastise died this week Sgt 'Johnny' Johnson aged 101. Rest In Peace Sir! He was part of Joe Mcarthy's crew in AJ-T (ED825/G). I just noticed that the serials of 617 had a /G appended to them denoting that the aircraft had to have a 24 hour armed guard when on the ground! Kind Regards, Andy
Col Walter E Kurtz
The wooden Y aiming aid is even at the bomb aimers station! a make this or is it a part of the kit? A lovely touch!
