Myasishchev 3MS Soviet Bomber Mikro-Mir 1/144

Recommended Posts

a great cold war beast...

I decided quite some time ago to build in 1/48.... but that basically excludes all bomber/ transports etc... because of mainly availability and of course space.... :D

so omitting 1/72, I get models basically similar in size as 1/48 fighter aircraft when choosing 1/144...

my first Micro-Mir model, definitely not for the pure beginners!

short run kit, but fit, especially the crucial transparent window parts was fantastic to say the least!

but I already have a second one waiting in the stash,,.. :)

instructions could be bigger, especially for the window masks that are a true pain to identify.... tiny and ....

but they worked out fantastic in the end to my surprise!

work in progress here (actually started out in the Bomber etc.  group build this spring ) LINK

some photos, not in optimal light.. sorry

Lovely job with the Bison Werner, you've stoked my interest in this beast again. Im a great fan of the very large Amodel kits and have always wanted to build one of these in 1/72.  I think I can feel a house move coming on with more model storage facilities🤔

Very nice Verner, I like that a lot. It is a kit I have pondered over before now, I think time for pondering is past, now I have seen this. :)

thanks!

go for it!, take your time and put mine into a large shadow ;)

Micro Mir also has a second version (3MD) out already! ...

I like the comparison with the B-2, didn't really know that the Bison was that large.

thanks Bosse, it is really large, but mainly slim ;)

Very nice would love to see one in 1/72  brail scale is just to small for me and my carpet monster would out of control

I definitely recommend a looking glass at times.... and the carpet monster of course got its share :D

thanks everybody by the way!! :)

I am building my first 1/144 bomber (the Roden B-36D). I hope in the end it will look as good as yours. Congratulations!
