Fantastic photos Philip, both here & in your photostream, they show up very well just how much of these vessels overhang the hull. 😮 I was curious about the F-18 on the starboard lift/elevator/whatever the USN call them, & a rummage in your photostream showed this.

Which set me to wondering what the GRF was doing with a Legacy Hornet on board without any engines in this era. A pressie for a Museum somewhere?

Apparently it is onboard for deck handling training.
