Revell Eurocopter EC-145 1/72 (04653) - Stash Order 11

 

This is the sixth build of my stash bash which aimed to reduce my anxiety of too many kits and not enough time and get the stash to a manageable level of 2. Links to the others at the bottom.

Possibly the fiddliest model kit I have ever done, not helped by me being of an age where eyesight is not that good! I got to the point where I had no patience for this so quickly finished it. Not helped by me picking up and spraying the wrong shade of blue. I only really realised when I put the paint pot away and noticed that I already had it! After gluing the cockpit window on I think it must have been statically charged as it seems to have picked up a load of dust and debris. I may just pull it off and give it a clean or throw it away!!

Despite your reservations I think this is a great-looking model of a challenging subject; definitely not one for the bin!

Don't bin it!  Carefully remove the windscreen with a sharp Xacto blade and clean it, then reinstall!  But wait a week before you do that.  Cooling off period, ya know.

Looks fantastic job well done and can I just say you’re a better man than me I’m also of the age where the eyesight isn’t what it used to be  and if it was me I would’ve filed it in the bin 😂.

NOOOOOOOOOOO! dont bin it , thats a nicely built and painted little eurocopter. Have a go at this.

Yes, I think I'll give this a go when I have some time and am relaxed!!
