David Hadland
I'm planning on getting the latest Leopard 2 A7 in 1/72 scale and I don't know whether to get the Takom model now or wait for the new Vespid Model, from what I'm seen online both kits are excellent. Anyone with any advice on what to get?
Old pro
I have not seen these kits to say which is best, but Takom is a Leopard 2A7 the Vespid kit is a 2A7+ which is different, so if you want an actual 2A7 go for Takom, or Meng who also do a 2A7. David Hadland
I tad late but I got the Takom Kit and I must say it is a very finely molded kit, if I have the time I may put some photos up of the kit.
Old pro
That’s a loaded question 😁 because of moulding techniques and smallness of parts there are always going to be compromise’s between something in 1/35 and something less than half the size, then there is the problem that some people that build 1/72 kits don’t want them over complicated or the belief that they are not for the serious modeller (the fact that very few forums have dedicated small scale sections). That being said, some of the latest releases are very detailed, Vespid, Takom and Zvezda are some of the best ( although even some of those kits come with some serious problems) added to the problem is overly complicated doesn’t always translate to best model!.
