Baby, let me follow you down - Special Hobby 1/72 Harvard Mk.II/IIA/IIB - Finished

Recommended Posts

This one I purchased direct from the good people at Special Hobby when they helped me out after I tried really hard to destroy 6 months of work on my Sunderland.

I've been eyeing it up since it arrived.

All that Yellow.

This is Academy plastic with additions from Special Hobby.

I'm  looking forward to this.

And what will be a necessity with this.

Plastic should be cut later.

Thanks for looking,

Yay in first! I usually never get a good seat.

Ah yes, Special Hobby! I didn't realise they ran Academy tools though; the sharp, simple runners look positively benevolent by comparison.

I'm deeply envious of your ability to get round to kits fast enough that you can still remember buying them. Anyway off you go, there's a good chap.

Nice to have you along for the ride.

I have a scary stash in the loft but this one has been shouting at me and I really fancy the scheme.

Alistair

I’ll be following along, making notes….  Have this kit too, eager to see what you make of it.  Doubtless you’ll make a grand job of it Alastair!

Dave

Welcome aboard.

I pulled it from the pile and started cutting not realising that surgery was required. We'll see how it goes.

Nice to see you here.

I'll probably make all the mistakes so it could be educational.

Valuable insulation for the forthcoming chilly weather. You must absolutely make sure to buy enough new kits that you don’t have to disturb this vital resource before the spring.

looking forward to another masterclass in the application of the colour yellow.

That may be curtailed for a bit as Ihad to get the car fitted with a new radiator yesterday and they had to virtually dismantle the front end to get at it.

It was an ouch moment.

After priming and some ColourCoats Interior Green had dried I attempted some detail painting. A light dry brush and a wash with Agrax Earthshade.

Yes, Chris, I had a brush out.

Once all that lot is dry I should be able to get the fuselage glued together.

Jings!

Thanks for looking,

Excellent to hear Alistair, enjoyable and relaxing don't you think  Great to see you get the brush out.

Cockpit internals look wonderful.

Chris

Thanks Chris,

Probably won't be able to see anything with the fuselage closed up let alone with the canopy on.

While I was waiting for the glue to dry I got on with the wings.

The tape is staying on overnight in the hope that it'll stet the dihedral on the starboard side.

Thanks for looking,
