Slater
What is "M6.5.2 Romanian configuration"? Possibly an avionics upgrade? https://www.regjeringen.no/en/aktuelt/norge-har-inngatt-kontrakt-om-salg-av-f-16-jagerfly-til-romania/id2945901/ Edited November 7, 2022 by Slater
Des
The F-16 MLU programme and the US Block 50/52 equivalent introduced a Modular Mission Computer after which systems could incramently be updated and added to using a series of Software "Tape" changes , 6.5 was at one time the NATO standard so 6.5.2 is most likely a subtle change to that , across the wider F-16 family I believe it is now up to 7.whatever.

exdraken
That is good news in current times! I was hoping also for Dutch F-16s ending up somewhere in Eastern Europe... Slovakia and Bulgaria are getting new Block 70 aircraft, but that is still many years from now....and not many anyways...
Boman
Some of the Dutch Vipers are sold to Draken. It's the ones that formed the training unit in 162FW

Boman
Don't think Chile is planning to buy more of the Dutch Vipers? Haven't heard of such anyway?
exdraken
Things go in the right direction: https://theaviationist.com/2022/12/16/first-batch-of-us-based-rnlaf-f-16s-return-to-europe/ Seems that at least some Dutch F-16 will not go to adversaries but some needy airforce in Europe... Bulgaria maybe
