  • Homebee changed the title to 1/ ?? - Douglas A-20 Havoc/Boston by Hong Kong (HK) Models ????

Hopefully they'll save me the agony and do it in 1/32, because if it is a 1/48 new tool it's another purchase or three coming up. It's been on my wish list for some time. Mind you, 1/32 would be really :coolio:

Having done the older AMT kit I really would like a new tool in 1/48. But Id be happy if they went 1/32 as It would save my wallet the pain.

  • Homebee changed the title to 1/32 ? - Douglas A-20 Havoc/Boston by Hong Kong (HK) Models ????

Well, if we're daydreaming about a kit that may or may not even exist, I'd love to see a Soviet Boston with the Soviet UTK-1 turret installation. In 1/32nd scale. HK won't come out with one, but I'd still love to see one. To be honest, any A-20 variant in 1/32nd scale would be nice to see.

Best Regards,

Jason

I have just one question.

Is the nosewheel thick enough so we can drill a hole in it, put a bolt in, and screw the nut to a base?
'cos I'm not seeing much space for noseweight :D

Hi

over on LSP, they say it is a series of A-20 aircraft but no early ones

quote from thread

..........    there will be other versions BUT not the early ones so your looking at Boston V's onwards, that said there are plenty of colour ways for this and plenty of theatres including Russian and French.

Also down the line are planned K variants so plenty  .........

I suppose for those wanting a boston III the ' very basic '  airframe shape is there for a heavy conversion, but it would be a lot of work

 I might ....

try that as a retirement project

cheers

Hi

I suppose the seperate nose section hints at maybe a A-20J/K or P-70  release in the future ?

   cheers

If you look at Homebee's pics, the 2nd one seems to show an A-20J nose in resin in the bottom left - I really hope that follow up with that! Just noticed that there's a close up of it further down the page too, I'll be hanging on for that one I think
