Homebee
A&A Models is to rebox the 20 years old SIGA/ACE Models kit (ref. 72302 - link ) 1/72nd Martin AM-1 Mauler - late version - under ref. AAM7239. Release expected in December 2022. I suppose we might also expect soon or later a rebox from the SIGA/ACE kit Martin AM-1 Mauler - early version - ref. 72301 (link ). Just for the benefit of those who do not know, the only difference between the "early" and "late" kits was which propeller parts one uses (both are included in the kit) and the decals: "Early" used the Curtiss cuffed, round tipped prop (parts D14 and spinner D5), "late" used the Hamilton Standard straight-sided square-tipped prop (parts D9 and spinner D4). According to Tommy Thomason: "The AM-1's purchased under the original contract (BuNo's 22257-22355), used the Curtiss electric propeller that had cuffed blades and rounded tips. The aircraft purchased under the subsequent contract (BuNo's 122388-122437) used the Hamilton Standard prop with squared off tips." https://tailhooktopics.blogspot.com/2020/01/172-airmodel-am-1-mauler.html There is a photo there of #142 from Columbus (on the A&A decal sheet) parked next to #136, and #136 has the Curtiss prop. BuNo22357 was photographed at Dallas, side number 136 (again!), with the Curtiss prop. Ginter's book has a photo of BuNo 22313, side number 504, of VA-45 again with the Curtiss prop. With minimal effort to adjust a few numbers using any spare decals to hand, this A&A kit could easily be built as "early". Scribing the dive brakes and fixing the divider over the wing spar between the gear and wheel bays are far bigger concerns.
Madoc
Hopefully A&A Models will also repop the "US Aircraft Weapons" set as well. A simple enough thing to do as all the bits for it are on their own sprue.
