Old Man
Want to, anyway. I put the USN national markings in a noticeably wrong location on the wings of an F4F Wildcat. They are on a surface of fairly fragile acrylic paint. I used a dab of Future as a setting solution. I've no idea how to get them off, never had to before. ckw
I would try the sticky tape without the alcohol first. I think there would be some risk of damaging the paint underneath, In my experience, future on decals was not enough to prevent them lifting when masked! malpaso
Yes Future over decals was not enough protection from masking tape. Ask me how I know! Although bedding on Future May have made the stiction of the decals better. If strong masking tape doesn’t remove, maybe mask round and sand with very light grade, so you can just “dodge-in” paint repairs locally?
Old Man
Thanks for the good advice, guys. I got it sorted out without any harm couldn't be easily fixed. I cut my acrylics with Future, anything that dissolves that will dissolve the paint too. It prevents brushmarks, and toughens it up a bit for handling. Doesn't help adhesion, though.
