SimonL
My son, knowing my hobby, gave me this as a Father’s Day gift last month. It’s well outside my usual subjects, so it made for a refreshing change. I also learnt a lot along the way (thanks @Bullbasket @Milan Mynar @FrancisGL ). Finished with markings straight out of the box using brush painted Vallejo Model Air Sinai Grey for the main colour and a variety of washes to make it look a bit used, but not abused. Build thread can be found here: And a few photos in the bright sunshine.
FrancisGL
Hi Simon, It turned out very nice, it reminds me a lot of mine...(attack of nostalgia)... It looks better IMHO in the exterior photos... Your child will be happy to see the result. Cheers and TC Francis.
binbrook87
That's a beauty! I'm no expert armour builder but do like to tackle the odd tank now and again as a refreshing change from the norm of aircraft kits. The Tamiya models do make a perfect pallet cleanser. I really like the look of the Merkava and you've done a cracking job here...and also goes to show that you don't need an airbrush to get quality results. Fine work all round Edited October 17, 2022 by binbrook87
