Dean Whiston
Not sure if this counts as figures but not sure it fits any other category either - feel free to relocate if needed. Anyway this was a £5 eBay purchase; I’d built one before in the late 70’s (started one at least) and thought I’d try again. Definitely a kit if it time - filler was my friend - quite pleased with how its come out in the end though. Yg Models
interesting model, what material is it? £5 could get two birds and flower, etc. quite attractive.

Its normal Airfix plastic from the 70’s - kit was about 50 hard plastic parts. they released at least 5 different 1/1 scale bird kits in the late 70’s and withdrew them from the catalogue quite quickly- as far as I know they have never been reissued - the bullfinches normally go on eBay for around £20 (I got lucky with this one 😊) - the owl & kingfisher I’ve seen selling for £90 ! Bengalensis
Beautiful work on the Bullfinches, very nice painting! I did build them myself a few years ago and found it very enjoyable. I have the rest of the Airix bird kits in my stash, need to give them priority...
Hairy Stickler
Blimey, that takes me back! My dear old Dad made this kit when I was a lad (we're talking nearly 50 years ago). He didn't make many models but I do remember this one and some of the Airfix 1/12 scale historical figures (Richard I, Oliver Cromwell and Henry VIII to name a few). Super job and lovely to see it again. Best regards Peter (an intruder from the Aircraft section)

rob Lyttle
Wow, Dean, only just found this'un as I perused the unfamiliar areas of the site. That looks brilliant!! Outstanding paintwork - doesn't look unnatural or "paint by numbers" style at all. I like it a lot 😍👍
