Yg Models
After sisters of battle, i dig out some old warhammer under my bed for practicing acrylic paints. This time is a re-cast of a very nice small size griffon that GW on published once in boxset. the wings are painted with multi dry-brush to get this result. I feel the design & details of that period of GW products are much better than current ...😒 Miniatures ~ High Elve Lord on Griffon Working Photos: Product Photos:
ArnoldAmbrose
Gidday @Yg Models, this looks a very good model. That image showing the griffon coming straight at us is an image I'd NEVER like to see in reality. 😲 The griffon looks terrifying. Regards, Jeff. Yg Models
thx Jeff yes, pose, size, detail of this tiny griffon is much better than oversized dragon/etc in current WH:AoS miniatures. there has another good griffon from GW, but also old kit... NMLeonov
That is a fantastic model! I absolutely agree with your opinion that the old Warhammer Fantasy sculpts were so much more inspiring and beautiful. I hope that the Old World game coming soon will bring more models like these. Why a recast though? Your painting skills are excellently adapted for this small 28mm scale. The dry brushed wings are convincing and lovely, as well as the shining silver of the elven lord's armor and the billowing cape that flows behind him. Well done!
