Zigomar
Hello my friends. I had done this model for the French magazine Replic in 1994,my second article for them. I thought that to do it again with new stuff and more knowledge could be fun! It was! The soft plastic is a real challenge, the fit is poor by today's standards, and the use of aftermarkets like Vector interior does not make things easier. Thanks to @Ray_W, I was able to rivet the whole plane a long and tedious task. The use of Quickboost engines and covers is a great enhancement but it takes hours of sanding to get a decent fit! The deco is from Kits World and depicts a plane from the 388BS in New Guinea in 44. The skull and cross bones on the nose was a pain to fix, but here it is, thanks for looking. 73A4F805-B2CE-46D9-83E8-98EECB0AF6DE_1_201_a by jean Barby, sur Flickr C63BEF33-53B4-429E-88FE-4EAD0883DDA5_1_201_a by jean Barby, sur Flickr 31141AB2-65D9-447B-8B66-9C765A3114EA_1_201_a by jean Barby, sur Flickr 5DBB095B-1184-40F5-A959-0649CEFC594A_1_201_a by jean Barby, sur Flickr AD5E8C74-A187-4CAE-AD24-BA9CED25A94C_1_201_a by jean Barby, sur Flickr FB00B647-FA9B-4378-9DCB-EA70A7929A6B_1_201_a by jean Barby, sur Flickr 3E03DC48-22D6-4191-87CB-FCC582D69D7C_1_201_a by jean Barby, sur Flickr 28273614-8B1E-457D-AD44-F9DEA9F47982_1_201_a by jean Barby, sur Flickr
IPMS19
- Hi Mr Jean - I don't remember your 94 vintage A 20, but I'm quite sure it was not roten and the same can be said to this one added to a confirmed "coup de patte" which is your trade mark....

IvanP
Very nice model, Jean! That's a plane that deserves a new kit. Perhaps, after a Marauder. Cheers, Ivan

Toryu
That looks fantastic Jean -a most 'dangerous' bomb actually Regarding rivetting, I'm doing some occasionally but usually shrink back from the time-consuming and often frustating work. It's a pity that so little is noticeable in the end. Most rewarding on natural metal, however. The aftermarket items are necessary, I guess, to make the model more accurate? The kit is now pretty old and some after market items certainly do help improving the details. Vector cockpit is a gem but gives some extra work to be fixed, wheels are necessary too, and Master 0,50 tubes on the Martin turret are great. I agree with you, riveting is certainly time consuming but it gives the paint a very good backround to apply some weathering. All the best and thanks for the comment.
