Bjorn
This long-awaited has finally arrived, and here it is. I noticed that the Rumourmonger thread on this one is almost exactly ten years old. But a few days ago it was released, and here it is. (And no, I am not that quick, I had the chance to build one of the first examples delivered to the manufacturer.) This is a lovely little kit, the only problems were the windshield and the main landing gear. But nothing that not could be solved by some minor surgery. I painted it with Mr Paint colours. Decals are brilliant, as always, since they are designed by Moose Republic Decals. Although I changed number on the fin, from #72 on the decal sheet into #70. The reason? I think that there will be loads of these on Swedish model exhibitions, so I want to be able to recognize mine! Everyone that has struggled with the Marivox 1/72 one know that catching the shapes of this Swedish icon could bring real challenges to the builder. But this is a clever construction, fit is great and there are no real troubles. In fact, the greatest challenge was to find enough space for the noseweight! Seatbealts are moulded on the seats, which I guess will be welcomed differently among the builders. The result is acceptable, however, next time I will replace them with new ones. Seat details are a little crude, so a resin seat would be welcome. In fact, the only area for improvement of this kit in my opinion. Will I build one more? No. At least three more! I am especially looking forward to the anteater-lookalike SK 60C in winter camouflage! WIP thread: Edited October 19, 2022 by Bjorn 38
binbrook87
Very nice indeed. I've been eyeing this release up for some time and it certainly looks to be well worth the wait. What a little beauty in that Swedish colour scheme
WhiteTiger4115
That's a lovely build Will keep an eye out for the winter camo of the SK 60C! I visited the Aeroseum near Gothenburg last month, don't think I saw one of these but I might been preoccupied with the Drakens and Viggens
Spitfire31
Great build as usual, Björn! This is one I've been waiting for a looong time and it's wonderful that it has finally seen the light of day. I assume that Maestro will have a field day with the cockpit… Hopefully, the C won't need another 10 year gestation period… Kind regards, Joachim

No, you did not miss it, for some reason they don't have a SK 60 there. I can't say why, there must be plenty of them? I think that they have (or have had) a scrapped one in bad condition somewhere, but none in the exhibition.
Marlin
Stunning build, and a very beautiful SK60 Björn. As many others I've just ordered my first one, and come January I'll put up on the work bench. Do you happen to know when we might expect the C-version? I've got plans for at least three of them, one with Rb05's. , the others with AKAN-pods and rocket, and one with just rockets. /Bosse

Thanks! No, I don't know when, but from what I have heard, the OE version will follow soon. And the C is not far away either, but my guess is that OE will be first of them.

Shorty84
Great build, seems to be a really nice kit. Hopefully they release the OE version soon because I hardly can restrain myself from buying one now Cheers Markus
